Cats In Our Community
Apr 11, 2010
Delta Community Animal Shelter is hoping that our community will see the importance of spaying/neutering their cats. From Spring to Fall the shelter struggles with an increase in the cat population. This is due directly to owners letting their cats out in their neighbourhood when they are intact (not spayed or neutered). As this is a very serious problem in our community there are fines for owners who do let their intact cats out and the owners of intact cats must carry a Breeding Permit as outlined in our bylaw. The Breeding Permit is necessary even if you do not plan to breed your cat.
