Adoption Counseling
Age Requirement: 19 years or older
Shift Times: 12pm - 5pm (Mon - Fri) / 12pm - 4pm (Sat & Sun)
This is a more experienced volunteer position as the adoption counsellor needs to have extensive knowledge in cat, dog or small animal behaviour. In addition, an understanding of the personality and type of home each animal in the shelter requires. This role is vital as the volunteer is the advocate in helping the animals find their new forever homes. Training is provided and we are eager to fill this position daily (especially weekends)
- Be available to assist visitors and potential adopters with questions
- Review and process adoption applications
