Mosey with Mutts Program (Dog walking)
Age Requirement: 16 years or older
Shift Times: 10am - 12pm, 12pm - 3pm, 4pm - 6pm (Mon - Fri), 3pm - 5pm (Sat & Sun)
The Mosey With Mutts (MWM) Program is to utilize volunteers in assisting with socialization and positive reinforcement of "good dog" behaviour with the shelter dogs. This is not just a "washroom break" for the dogs but an important opportunity to have someone provide them with one-on-one attention. This can be done on the walk or by just sitting on a patch of grass having quiet time. All MWM volunteers must attend an orientation before beginning the program. Orientation is scheduled frequently throughout each month. Please contact shelter staff to sign up.

- Spending quiet time with the dog
- Mental engagement (throwing the ball in the playground, etc)
- Grooming
